The Environmental Assessment Worksheet provides information about a project that may have the potential for significant environmental effects.  The EAW is prepared to determine whether an Environmental Impact Statement should be prepared.  Note to Reviewers:  Comments must be submitted to St. Louis County, the Responsible Government Unit (RGU), during the 30-day comment period.  Comments should address the accuracy and completeness of information, potential impacts that warrant further investigation and the need for an EIS.

Shoreland and Wetland Guides

The "Shoreland and Wetland Guides" were developed by the Planning and Development Department under a grant from the Minnesota Lake Superior Coastal Program (LSCP).  The purpose of the guides is to provide information to property owners on shoreland development and types of wetlands.  We have also developed land use videos with funds from the Minnesota Natural Resources Block Grant and LSCP grant.  The county YouTube Channel is:  http://www.youtube.com/user/StLouisCountyMN
